Fitness Career Guide publishes general information about exercise, wellness habits, supplements and health promotion. It is not medical advice, and it cannot account for your health, history or medicines.
Before you start or change a program
Talk to a doctor or another qualified clinician before you begin a new exercise program, especially if you have a heart, lung, joint, blood pressure or blood sugar condition, are pregnant, are recovering from an injury or surgery, or have been inactive for a long time. Stop exercising and seek care if you feel chest pain, severe shortness of breath, dizziness or faintness.
Supplements and products
A page about a supplement reports what its maker says and what research has found about its ingredients. It does not show that the product will work for you or is safe for you. Supplements can interact with medicines and conditions. Ask a pharmacist or your doctor before taking one, and check the label for doses and warnings.
No clinician relationship
Reading this site, or contacting us, does not create a relationship with a doctor, trainer or other professional. We are not clinicians and we do not diagnose, treat or prescribe. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
How our pages are researched and checked is set out in how we research.
